In a nutshell

Are you a strong communicator, good at keeping an overview and experienced in logistics? Join GLS in Enschede as a Logistics Returns Employee. You will be an important point of contact for drivers and colleagues and help make sure the returns process runs smoothly at the end of each day.

You will work 32 to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 22:00, and earn between €2,700 and €3,300 gross per 4 weeks. In principle, your weekends are always free. This is a varied logistics position that combines communication, administration and problem-solving.

As a Logistics Returns Employee at GLS, you make sure returning drivers are received properly and that their deliveries and documentation are handled correctly.

You check route documents, process returns and discrepancies and keep an eye on the daily operation. If something does not go according to plan, you identify the issue, communicate with the right people and help find a solution.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Receiving and assisting drivers when they return;
  • Checking route documents and administrative information;
  • Processing and registering returns and discrepancies;
  • Identifying and solving operational issues;
  • Communicating with drivers, colleagues and customers;
  • Supporting the Team Leader with daily activities;
  • Ensuring accurate and efficient administrative processing;
  • Contributing ideas to improve logistics processes.
You will work in a dynamic logistics environment where situations can change quickly. That is why it is important that you remain calm, maintain an overview and know how to switch quickly when necessary.

You do not need to know everything from day one. What matters is that you understand logistics processes, communicate well and are confident enough to address drivers and colleagues when necessary.

  • You have experience in logistics, transport or a similar position;
  • Preferably, you have an MBO level 4 diploma, for example in logistics;
  • You have a good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written;
  • You are confident and comfortable addressing drivers and colleagues;
  • You remain calm and maintain an overview during busy moments;
  • You work accurately and quickly notice when something is not right;
  • You have strong communication skills and think in solutions;
  • You can work independently as well as together with colleagues.

As a Logistics Returns Employee at GLS, you can expect:
